Flood Update #2
I thought I'd give you a quick update on what's happening at the Dovecote. It's been over a month now since we were hit by the flash flood, but now things are starting to happen.
The whole process has been delayed and complicated by our landlords, various insurers and other involved parties that desperately need some managing and coordinating.
The strip out has now begun. Everything that was waterlogged needs to be removed then the building can be dried out, cleaned up and then sanitised. This is a particularly tricky job in our kitchens and back of house areas.
After that it's repairing, replacing, decorating and refitting.
The current national crisis may have an impact on timescales, but that is another thing that is out of our control!
Once again, thanks for all the kind words and support that we have received in person and via the various social media channels, it is really appreciated and lets us know that it is worthwhile carrying on.
We miss you all - stay safe and well during the pandemic and we hope to see you all soon in better times.
Keep an eye on social media for progress and updates and we hope to see you all again soon.
